Pakistan Bomb Blast : Death toll rose to 39, local JUI-F leader also killed.

30 July, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Pakisatan): According to local media, the death toll from a bomb attack targeting a Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) workers’ gathering rose to 39 and is anticipated to grow further.

According to the district emergency officer, a local JUI-F leader had died in the explosion at the workers’ gathering in Bajaur’s Khar.

The name of the deceased JUI-F member from Tehsil Khar, Amir Ziaullah Jan, was confirmed by the official.
Over 50 others sustained injuries in the blast, according to the officer’s statement. He further stated that the injured are being relocated to Timrgara and Peshawar.

Samiullah, a Geo News cameraman, was also hurt and has been transferred to the district headquarters hospital in Lower Dir since he is apparently in critical condition.

According to reports, the explosion occurred during the conference, and the area has been sealed off by law enforcement. The cause of the explosion has yet to be determined by the police.

Ambulances were seen arriving at the scene on television.

Rescue 1122 spokesperson Bilal Faizi informed Dawn that five ambulances had arrived at the scene. He also stated that approximately 50 injured people have been transported to the hospital so far.
He was concerned that the number of injured might rise.

According to JUI-F leader Hafiz Hamdullah, who spoke to Geo News, he was also intended to attend the convention but was unable to do so due to personal reasons.

“I strongly condemn the blast and want to give a message to the people behind it that it is not Jihad but terrorism”, said the JUI-F leader,adding that the incident was an attack on humanity and Bajaur, Dawn reported.
