Gigi Hadid was reportedly arrested in the Cayman Islands on July 10 for the possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
According to Cayman Marl Road report, after Hadid and a friend landed in the Cayman Islands via private plane, officials examined their luggage and discovered “ganja and utensils used for the consumption of ganja” in their possession.
The two were apprehended, transported to the Prisoner Detention Centre, and released on bail. They pled guilty to the allegations, two days later in court and were fined $1,000, “with no conviction recorded,” according to the site.
According to Hadid’s representative, the marijuana was obtained with a medical licence in New York, and medical marijuana is legal in the Cayman Islands.
Her record is still clean, and she had a good time on the island.”
The model appears to have moved on from the event, uploading a bunch of holiday photographs on social media.
