Preparations for the consecration ceremony of the Ram idol at the Ayodhya Temple are underway, with elaborate rituals and events set to begin on January 16. The culmination of these ceremonies will be the consecration of the 51-inch idol of Lord Ram, Ram Lalla, on January 22.

The Temple Trust has meticulously planned a seven-day schedule of rituals and events. On January 16, the ceremonies commence with an atonement ceremony and Dashvidh bath. The subsequent days include the arrival of the idol of Ram Lalla on January 17, along with Ganesh Ambika Puja, Varun Puja, Matrika Puja, Brahmin Varan, and Vastu Pujan on January 18.

January 19 is marked for Agni Sthapana, Navagraha Sthapana, and Havan. The following day, January 20, will witness the cleansing of the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Mandir with the holy water of Saryu, along with Vaastu Shanti and Annadhivas.

On January 21, the deity of Ram Lalla will undergo a divine bath with 125 urns, followed by the Shayadhivas ritual.

The grand culmination on January 22 will see the worship and consecration of Ram Lalla. Eminent attendees for this auspicious event include Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Baba Ramdev, Mohan Bhagwat, cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, industrialists Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani, and Ratan Tata, and actors Rajinikanth, Arun Govil, and Deepika Chikhalia, among others.

A significant turnout of over one lakh devotees is expected in Ayodhya on January 22 for the ‘pran pratishtha’ of the Ram Mandir, a momentous occasion graced by the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
